Congressional Republicans fought to uncover the FBI’s criminal conduct during the 2016 election.
Deep State operatives like James Comey stood to lose everything.
Now the FBI sent Congress one piece of paper that contains their worst crime yet.
Congressional Republicans tried to wrap up their investigation into the FBI’s scandalous behavior targeting Donald Trump with covert spying operations to frame him for colluding with the Russians.
GOP members of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees raced against time to wrap up their investigation before Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats took over the House on January 3.
As part of their effort to provide the American people with the kind of transparency citizens should expect from their government, Republicans wanted to release 3,400 pages of witness interviews.
But the FBI pitched a fit.
In a letter to Congress, FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich balked at Congress’ December 24 deadline to review classified material.
Bowdich whined that the deadline was Christmas and in the middle of a government shutdown.
“It is our shared responsibility — predicated on legal requirements — to protect sensitive information of this nature from public disclosure,” the deputy director wrote in his letter to Congress.
“Therefore, we respectfully request that the Committees maintain the confidentiality of the un-redacted interview transcripts pending a complete review by the FBI, the Department, and the Special Counsel’s Office, as appropriate,” Bowdich whined.
Critics refused to accept this explanation at face value.
It smelled like bad faith excuse making.
Bowdich and other FBI higher-ups understand the political reality.
Nancy Pelosi and other Deep State collaborators set to take over Congress will quietly snuff out any investigations into the FBI’s criminal abuse of power.
And that is exactly what happened.
House Oversight and Judiciary Committees chairman Trey Gowdy and Bob Goodlatte released a letter announcing the end to their investigation.
They released a letter explaining that the FBI enforced a double standard with how they treated Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
“Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received unusual treatment from the Obama Justice Department during its investigation of her use of a private email server for sending and receiving classified information. The integrity of our government agencies must be restored. It is absolutely critical that every individual, regardless of his or her status, be treated equally in the eyes of the law,” a statement on the House Judiciary Committee website read.
In addition, Gowdy and Goodlatte declared that the investigators were biased.
“Peter Strzok and Lisa Page exchanged more than 40,000 text messages, including messages such as, “Trump is a loathsome human.” Director Comey himself stated, had he known of their bias, he never would have allowed them to serve on the investigative team. Nevertheless, both Strzok and Page served on the Clinton email and Russia investigations, with Strzok playing a leading role,” the statement continued.
This cover up is the FBI’s worst crime.
The FBI exists to set a standard that the law is applied equally without fear or favor of any American’s status.
Deep State operatives like James Comey warped this mission and instead put the Democrat Party’s political fortunes ahead of the rule of law.
The FBI’s letter delaying any action until the Democrats took over was the final straw for many Americans who lost all faith in the Bureau.
