For two years, sinister forces inside the government have schemed to get rid of Donald Trump.
These enemies of democracy were so desperate to force Trump from office that they resorted to criminal behavior.
Now the disappearance of one piece of paper is the smoking gun that proves their acts of treason.
The Washington swamp and fake news media refuses to let go of the idea that Donald Trump is a secret Russian agent.
Even though the Mueller investigation is sputtering toward an anticlimactic conclusion, anti-Trump forces are holding out hope that the special counsel can dredge up anything Congress can use as an excuse to impeach Donald Trump.
Their prayers may have just been answered.
President Trump was framed by a one-two punch of Deep State leaks in the New York Times and Washington Post.
The Times leaked that the FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation into the President after he fired James Comey.
And the Post reported that Trump seized possession of his interpreter’s notes after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki.
Those two stories were enough to breathe life into the dormant collusion theory.
The Times story was easily dismissed because even the fake news “journalists” were forced to admit that the FBI found no evidence that Trump was in league with Russia.
Their story actually revealed James Comey’s henchmen launched a politically motivated investigation against President Trump in retaliation for firing their boss.
But the Washington Post’s story was much more damaging.
And it harkened back to the early days of the Trump administration when Obama holdovers routinely engaged in illegal leaks of classified information to throw Trump off stride when he took office.
Post reporter Greg Miller – who is fully invested in the Russian collusion fake news hoax – painted a picture of Trump acting suspiciously by concealing what took place during his meetings with Putin.
Miller claimed Trump routinely spoke with Putin without other U.S. officials in the room and did not brief them on the contents of their conversation.
Despite not presenting any evidence of wrongdoing, Miller’s story allowed readers’ imaginations to run wild.
“Why would Trump hide what happened during his talks with Putin?” anti-Trump journalists, Democrats and Never Trump Republicans wondered.
The only reason they could come up with was Trump and Putin used those meetings to hatch their global plot to undermine democracy and advance Russia’s geopolitical interests.
That conspiracy theory is laughable.
There is a much simpler explanation.
In the early weeks of the Trump administration, the President was burned by leaks of his conversations with then Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and then Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.
Trump and Turnbull allegedly engaged in a harsh conversation about a deal Turnbull had with Obama for America to take refugees that Australia deemed undesirable.
Deep State leakers also embarrassed Trump by leaking the fake news that President Trump threatened to invade Mexico.
Obama-era criminals populated the early days of Trump’s administration and selectively leaked information to friendly reporters in order to paint the false picture that Trump was an incompetent oaf.
The Deep State’s treason was on full display in these episodes.
President Trump must be able to conduct international relations without fear of sabotage from within.
The Constitution vests sole power in the executive to determine what is in the national interest and to set foreign policy.
