Donald Trump faces unrelenting opposition from the Deep State and the Democrat Party.
But he never imagined saboteurs in his own ranks.
But that is exactly what happened when Mitch McConnell stabbed Donald Trump in the back n this awful way.
Donald Trump won the election in large part due to his “America First” foreign policy.
Trump pledged to end America’s involvement in forever wars started by Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
Voters flocked to Trump’s message of bringing our troops home and acting in America’s interests as opposed to advancing the agenda of the liberal new world order.
Now in office, Trump is working to make good on his promises.
The President announced U.S. troops would begin withdrawing from Syria and that his administration was on the verge of a peace deal which would bring a close to America’s 18 year-long war in Afghanistan, which is America’s longest military conflict.
Swamp creatures are not happy.
Their donors get rich off defense spending.
And they are loyal to the global elite and their agenda, which often times does not line up at all with American interests.
Mitch McConnell is the leader of that establishment pack.
McConnell organized a vote on a Senate resolution disapproving of Trump’s America First foreign policy.
It passed 68 to 23.
President Trump ripped McConnell’s act of disloyalty on social media.
Trump also noted that the United States had destroyed ISIS’s territorial gains and that meant it was time to bring the troops home.
President Trump tweeted:
I inherited a total mess in Syria and Afghanistan, the “Endless Wars” of unlimited spending and death. During my campaign I said, very strongly, that these wars must finally end. We spend $50 Billion a year in Afghanistan and have hit them so hard that we are now talking peace…
….after 18 long years. Syria was loaded with ISIS until I came along. We will soon have destroyed 100% of the Caliphate, but will be watching them closely. It is now time to start coming home and, after many years, spending our money wisely. Certain people must get smart!
Supporters of forever wars misleadingly attacked the President for bringing the troops home and declaring victory because not every ISIS fighter has been killed.
But it is impossible to kill every single last enemy on the field of battle.
What these voices are really arguing for is unending American involvement in Middle East civil wars.
Donald Trump does not believe this is wise from a financial or national security perspective.
McConnell’s act of treachery was unheard of in American politics.
Donald Trump is the leader of not just the Republican Party, but the United States military and the country.
Never before has a Senate leader from the President’s own party sought to usurp control of American foreign policy from the commander-in-chief.
Do you support President Trump’s plan to bring a close to the endless wars in Syria and Afghanistan?
