Some are just “more equal” than others.
The more money and fame they have, the less likely to serve time.
And this multimillionaire is roaming free despite these horrible crimes.
The recent news of Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s arrest for soliciting prostitutes has rekindled interest in the case of multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein.
Americans were outraged when Epstein worked out a plea deal with federal prosecutors that allowed him to quietly plead guilty to just two prostitution charges and serve 13 months in a Palm Beach County jail.
This, despite more than 30 victims who have come forward.
And recently a federal judge ruled that these federal prosecutors had violated the law by concealing the plea agreement from the more than 30 underage victims who were sexually abused by Epstein.
According to the Miami Herald:
“Brad Edwards, who represents Courtney Wild — Jane Doe No. 1 in the case — said he was elated at the judge’s ruling, but admitted he is troubled that it took 11 years to litigate. He blamed federal prosecutors for needlessly dragging it out when they could have remedied their error after it was brought to their attention in 2008.
“’The government aligned themselves with Epstein, working against his victims, for 11 years,’ Edwards said. ‘Yes, this is a huge victory, but to make his victims suffer for 11 years, this should not have happened. Instead of admitting what they did, and doing the right thing, they spent 11 years fighting these girls.’
“Marra, in a 33-page opinion, said prosecutors not only violated the Crime Victims’ Rights Act by not informing the victims, they also misled the girls into believing that the FBI’s sex trafficking case against Epstein was still ongoing — when in fact, prosecutors had secretly closed it after sealing the plea bargain from the public record.”
And the prosecutors did all this all the while knowing Epstein did more than just sexually abuse young girls.
According to affidavits from the case, he also worked with others to obtain minors for the sexual gratification of his multimillionaire friends. Clearly violating federal sex trafficking laws.
But instead of prosecuting Epstein under federal sex trafficking laws, Epstein was allowed to quietly plead guilty in state court to two prostitution charges and served just 13 months in the Palm Beach County jail.
While many swamp dwellers have tried to make this about the Trump Administration, it should be noted that the illegal plea agreement was made by Obama federal prosecutors and approved at the highest levels of the Obama DOJ.

It doesn’t fit their anti-Trump narrative to point out that the investigation into this matter was launched just this month by the Trump DOJ.
