Rand Paul Just Ended Democrats’ Ability to Keep Whistleblower’s Name Secret

The last thing the Democrats want is for the world to know who the supplier of their secret anti-Trump sauce is.

The Democrats are desperate to keep the identity of thewhistleblower in the Ukrainian scandal secret because it would do significant damage to their case against Trump.

Of course, most of the world now unofficially knows who the suspected whistleblower isEric Ciaramella, a former CIA operative who was fired once for leaking.

And in the grand scheme of things, that matters.

Much of what can be said about Trump and any actions he’s committed that are “unbecoming” of the office depend primarily on the source of the leak.

After all, if Oscar the Grouch told you he had a beautiful home and you should consider buying one like his, you’d have to think twice about the claim that trashcans make lovely homes.

So should the whistleblower’s true identity come out, there’s a strong chance it would neuter the Democrats impeachment inquiry and possibly ruin their chances of finding a genuine article of impeachment to vote on.

However, they’re about to go up in smoke as Rand Paul just ended the Democrats’ ability of keeping their whistleblowers name secret.

Democrats object to the release of the name, claiming that statutes exist to protect whistleblowers. Still, as Rand pointed out in an interview, no law prevents him from revealing the name of the whistleblower.

“I’m more than willing to, and I probably will at some point [release the name]. There is no law preventing anybody from saying the name,” Paul told reporters in an interview Tuesday.

Later that evening in an appearance on Fox News, he told Bret Baier that he “may” disclose the name, reiterating, “There’s nothing that prevents me from saying it now.

However, Paul said he’d prefer to “focus on the process of impeachment.

“I want it to be more about the process and less about the person.

“Nothing stops me. There’s no law that stops me from doing it other than that I don’t want to make it about the one individual, Paul concluded.

However, not all Republicans support his decision to publicly out the whistleblower. They warn that it compromises existing legal protections for whistleblowers in general.

But obviously, the Democrats threw a fit. Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer said he was “appalled” Paul would even consider letting the name out.

Let’s be honest though, if the whistleblower is who we suspect (a lifelong Democrat who hates Trump), getting that out in the open is critical for justice to be served.

And, truth be told, he isn’t really a whistleblower.

Hes a Deep State Democrat put on the White House staff for the specific purpose of spying on the President – which even his own attorney calls a coup.

Not only should his identity be released, he should be in jail for treason.
