Joe Biden Super PAC Continues His Time Honored Tradition of Foreign Meddling

It wasn’t long ago that Joe Biden was a strong opponent of Super PACs.

In fact, he vowed repeatedly to turn down any support from them.

But with his recent drop in the polls, this new Joe Biden Super PAC will continue his time-honored tradition of foreign meddling.

Joe Biden has been a very successful man. First elected to the Senate in 1972, he was the sixth youngest U.S. Senator in history and was re-elected six times before becoming Vice President under Barack Obama.

During his time in the Senate, Biden was also a longtime member and Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.

It was here Biden made the connections some say launched his sky-rocketing career.

Biden’s time as a high-ranking member of the Foreign Relations Committee put him in a position to meet top political and financial leaders from all over the world.

From Russian dictators to Chinese dictators, from African despots to European bankers, from Azerbaijan to Zimbabwe, Joe worked them all.

He made many friends and allies that would help him – and his son Hunter – throughout the years.

From board seats in Ukraine that paid $50,000 a month to millions of dollars in Chinese investments, Hunter treaded liberally on his father’s good name and reputation around the world.

And now it’s all come full circle.

Joe Biden has launched a brand new Super PAC promoting his presidential campaign, and it’s being run by a registered foreign agent for the government of Azerbaijan.

According to The Federalist:

Larry Rasky, a lobbyist who previously worked as a top campaign operative for Biden, is listed as the treasurer of the PAC, according to records filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).”

And Politico reported last week:

A former Joe Biden aide has filed paperwork to form a super PAC, called Unite the Country, that is set to boost the former vice president with millions of dollars in spending in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary.”

Records filed with the Department of Justice show that Rasky is also a registered foreign agent who lobbies on behalf of the government of Azerbaijan.

According to records, he was hired by the Azerbaijani government on April 23rd of this year. Other federal documents signed by Rasky show that he reports directly to Elin Suleymanov, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to the United States.

The Federalist continued:

“[The government of Azerbaijan] will pay Rasky a minimum monthly non-refundable fee for the Services provided of $15,000 per month, plus a 5% administrative fee as described below,” Rasky’s contract with the foreign government states. “The Monthly Fees totaling $94,500 shall be paid in two equal installments. The initial payment of $47,250 is due upon the signing of this agreement. The second payment of $47,250 is due on July 15, 2019.”

Biden’s campaign has already been hurt by allegations that he used his position as Vice President to steer lucrative foreign business contracts his son’s way.

Now this latest Super PAC will likely only super-charge his opponents to paint him as another old, corrupt politician
