Over 100 counties, cities, and towns have passed “2nd Amendment Sanctuary State” resolutions and the Deep State is outraged.
And in a number of these counties, local law enforcement has announced they will not enforce any gun control legislation passed.
That’s why this state may use the National Guard to enforce gun laws and arrest law-abiding gun owners.
The Commonwealth of Virginia is the cradle of the American Republican government.
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, James Madison, George Mason were all Virginians.
Virginia has long been known as a conservative and reliable “red state.” It’s also home to more than 2.5 million gun owners.
In fact, Virginia has long had some of the most constitutional gun laws in the nation, including legal open carry.
But a few years ago, things started to change with Virginia becoming a “purple” state, meaning it was neither reliably Republican or Democrat.
However this year, Virginia unmistakably joined the ranks of “blue” Democrat states.
Democrats now control all three branches of Virginia’s government and have pounced quickly on gun owners.
A number of bills have been drafted or are being drafted that will severely restrict Virginians’ 2nd Amendment rights and turn tens of thousands of Virginians into criminals with the stroke of Governor Ralph “Blackface” Northam’s pen.
Among the anti-gun legislation are bills to ban what gun control nuts consider “assault weapons,” restrictions on open carry, severe restrictions on who can get a concealed carry permit, bans on ammunition, and a myriad of other bills allowing localities to impose even stricter gun control.
They’re even introducing legislation to redefine the term “assault firearm” to include some handguns and even shotguns.
The response by gun owners, hunters, and Virginians who oppose unconstitutional gun laws has been swift and powerful.
As of last count, 112 counties, cities and towns have passed gun sanctuary resolutions stating that any unconstitutional restrictions passed by the Virginia General Assembly will not be enforced.
Governor Northam, who gained national attention last year for a photo in which he is either appearing in blackface or in KKK robes (he won’t say which one he is), is considering the use of force to crack down on these localities. Democrat Congressman Don McEachin (D-VA 4)said that Northam views these 2nd Amendment sanctuary resolutions as “temper tantrums” and suggested that the Governor “may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law” and it’s “obviously an option [Gov. Northam] has.”
McEachin’s comments were so alarming to Virginia citizens that Maj. Gen. Timothy P Williams, Virginia’s Adjutant General, announced that his command will “not speculate about the possible use of the National Guard.”
He also said, “We have not received any requests from the Governor, or anyone on his staff, about serving in a law enforcement role related to any proposed legislation.”
And Virginia’s incoming Republican state legislative leadership also issued a statement which “supports gun owners’ First and Second Amendment rights,” and said that McEachin’s socialist rhetoric is “unhelpful.”
