Ever since his election in 2016, Donald Trump has been the target of a concerted effort to remove him from office.
Unfortunately, many of these attempts have come from within his administration from Deep State plants.
But now Donald Trump is starting to clean house and the Deep State is furious.
No sooner had the President been vindicated in the U.S. Senate than the Democrats and the Never-Trumpers pretend Republicans started talking about their next impeachment attempt.
And as they were ramping up their next attacks, President Trump was busy too.
The news quickly broke that Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, his twin brother, and Ambassador Gordon Sondland had been escorted out and shown the door.
But what didn’t get nearly as much coverage was that President Trump didn’t stop with the Vindman twins and Sondland, he also began to clean house and remove all Obama holdovers and other incompetent or disloyal staffers from his administration.
While Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) decried the moves, most Americans applauded loudly and only asked: “What took so long?”
After all, no boss wants to have a staff of disloyal workers who only strive to take down the company.
And that’s exactly what was being done to the presidency by the Deep State plants within the administration, many of them from the National Security Council (NSC).
Now NSC officials have confirmed that President Trump and National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien have slashed 70 positions inherited from Barack Obama.
It was Obama who enlarged the NSC staff to more than 200 when he became President, immediately raising the eyebrows of his anti-war supporters.
Of the 70 personnel released by President Trump, many were staff members that were loaned from other agencies, and they were merely sent back to their agency. Some of the others have decided to retire.
It should be noted that the NSC staff assigned to the White House is considered part of the president’s personal staff.
And to the horror of conservatives and others supportive of the President, it was from this group of personal employees that most of the leaks to the press and Congress were coming from, including the “whistleblower” that started the entire impeachment charade that cost taxpayers tens of millions of dollars.
And while many opponents of the President have feigned shock and disgust that he would dare “fire” these staffers the simple fact is they weren’t even fired, though they should have been.
And, these same anti-Trump politicos forget that Trump has been working since day one to shrink the size of government and the staffs of a number of departments within the federal government.
Still, Obama holdovers within the highest levels of the NSC, DOJ, and State Department, as well as on the White House staff, have been undermining President Trump since the day he took office.
We here at Deep state Journal have been calling for these moves from the beginning and we can only hope this is the beginning of a much wider clean up of the federal government and the Deep State operatives who scurry through the hallways seeking to do damage.
