Despite what the mainstream media is attempting to perpetuate, the coronavirus is not the bubonic plague that killed one-third of the global population in the 14th century.
In “Ghostbusters,” Dr. Peter Venkman (played by Bill Murray) sarcastically jokes, “Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!,” while the Mayor of New York is plotting his next move after an outbreak of ghosts in the city.
Well, that captures exactly what the liberal media is doing to Donald Trump and the American people over the coronavirus.
Anytime President Trump’s administration enacts a policy, it’s “the end of the world” in the eyes of the liberal media and “blue checkmark” brigade on Twitter.
It’s become the most obnoxious thing of the Trump era.
How many times have you heard in the last several weeks that the Trump administration has “mishandled” the coronavirus outbreak?
The media has perpetuated the fear that the coronavirus is the next Black Death, the end of mankind as we know it – as if an asteroid the size of Texas is hurling its way towards Earth.
At the time this article was written, the death toll in the United States was 26 with approximately 650 reported cases across the country. Of course, 26 people dying from this China-born illness is terrible, but when you compare our numbers to other countries, Trump has done an amazing job in keeping it from spreading.
The new coronavirus has been fatal in only 4-percent of those infected and many had pre-existing conditions like diabetes or asthma or were elderly.
As Trump pointed out, the first American who died was, “a medically high-risk patient, in her late 50s.”
The mainstream media has been irresponsible with staggeringly unethical reporting on the virus, even though Trump has assured the country that officials have been working “around the clock” to respond to the threat.
“I’d like to just ask, and caution that the media, we would respectfully ask the media and politicians, and everybody else involved not to do anything to incite a panic because there’s no reason to panic at all,” Trump recently said.
“Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus… They tried anything. They tried it over and over. They’ve been doing it since he got in. It’s all turning. They lost. Think of it; this is their new hoax.”
Later when reporters asked Trump if he regretted using the word “hoax,” Trump replied, “No, no, no, hoax referring to the action that they take to try and pin this on somebody because we’ve done such a good job. The hoax is on them.”
Trump clarified he would never refer to the coronavirus as a hoax.
But the Democrats and the liberal media are using the virus as another way to undermine Trump and his administration.
Again, there are a little over 650 reported cases so far.
Trump concluded, saying, “The ‘hoax’ was used with respect to Democrats and what they were saying. It was a hoax, what they were saying, and that is very clear if you would read the words. And I think you know that too.”
Yes, we’re very aware of how Democrats and the media are trying to portray Trump.
