Being in the middle of a global pandemic, it’s understandable if you’re unsure about some of the information you’re receiving about how best to protect you and your family.
At first, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that masks wouldn’t help protect you from COVID-19, but then recently shifted course. They also originally said it wasn’t airborne – but obviously it turned out to be aggressively airborne.
So you might not be surprised to learn that the coronavirus pandemic has left one institution with a huge black eye from the American people.
By late February, business in the historic Chinatown in downtown San Francisco had plummeted due to COVID-19 originating in China.
So Speaker Nancy Pelosi walked the deserted streets and pleaded with locals to “please visit Chinatown.” She added, “We know that there is concern surrounding tourism, traveling all throughout the world, but we think it’s very safe to be in Chinatown and hope that others will come. It’s lovely here.”
Yet a short time after these comments, San Francisco became a hotbed for COVID-19 – and there’s no telling how many people she indirectly infected by beckoning them to Chinatown.
And what’s really crazy is at the same time, Speaker Pelosi was ridiculing President Trump’s response to the outbreak.
But the fact is nobody knew how fast the virus would spread in the United States.
Even still, you might be surprised to learn that Congress holds a favorable 59-percent approval rating vs. 37-percent disapproval according to a Gallup poll.
President Donald Trump also scored a favorable 60-percent approval rating vs. 38-percent disapproval. In fact, President Trump’s approval ratings have never been higher his entire presidency.
The Gallup poll also showed that Americans hold high approval in American institutions like hospitals, schools, and state and local governments.
U.S. Hospitals: 88-percent favorable vs. 10-percent unfavorable
* Schools or daycare: 83-percent favorable vs. 9-percent unfavorable
* Your state government: 82-percent favorable vs. 17-percent unfavorable
* Your employer: 82-percent favorable vs. 14-percent unfavorable
* Government health agencies like the CDC or NIH: 80-percent favorable vs. 17-percent unfavorable
* Vice President Mike Pence: 61-percent favorable vs. 32-percent unfavorable
* President Donald Trump: 60-percent favorable vs. 38-percent unfavorable
* Congress: 59-percent favorable vs. 37-percent unfavorable
Except one that is.
The Deep State media. They came in with 44-percent approval and 55-percent disapproval.
The Deep State media wants one thing and that is to remove President Trump from office.
And they have done everything they can to achieve that – especially by perpetuating a false narrative that President Trump bungled the coronavirus response.
But even Democrats are slowly realizing the catastrophe that is our U.S. media.
While 61-percent of Democrats approve, the other 39-percent see right through the Deep State media’s tactics.
It looks like the tide is starting to change. And that’s a great thing.
