The Deep State is alive and well in the D.C. swamp.
For too long, they’ve roamed the hallways of our nation’s government buildings and wreaked havoc on the country.
But in renewed efforts to drain the swamp, President Trump announced plans to fire these three top government officials if he wins re-election .
Donald Trump’s incredible victory in the 2016 presidential election was due in large part to his promise to drain the swamp and clean out the Deep State.
While he made some headway, it turned out the Deep State was embedded far deeper than anyone thought.
There was a time when these swamp creatures had a name – traitor – and were guilty of a crime – treason.
But these days, the rogue actors continue stealing taxpayers hard-earned money and are applauded by the media, Democrats, and the “Never-Trump” imbeciles in places like The Lincoln Project.
So we here at Deep State Journal were thrilled to learn that President Donald Trump plans to “immediately” fire three senior government officials should he win reelection next week.
According to Axios, the three officials named are FBI Director Christopher Wray, CIA Director Gina Haspel, and Defense Secretary Mark Esper.
Axios reported that FBI Director Christopher Wray is first on the chopping block, and for good reason.
The recent fiasco over the FBI’s handling – or lack thereof – of Hunter Biden’s highly incriminating laptop is nothing short of an embarrassment to the once proud agency.
As can be expected, the president is furious that Wray never opened an investigation into Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings after receiving the laptop back in December 2019.
Two anonymous sources – who have reportedly discussed the terminations with Trump – told Axios that both Wray and CIA Director Gina Haspel are “despised and distrusted almost universally in Trump’s inner circle.”
One of the sources also told Axios that Trump would have already fired both officials, but did not want to bring on another political headache before next week’s Election Day.
As for Haspel, many Trump loyalists were opposed to her being brought into the fold in the first place.
The source told Axios, “The view of Haspel in the West Wing is that she still sees her job as manipulating people and outcomes, the way she must have when she was working assets in the field, it’s bred a lot of suspicion of her motives.”
Haspel has vehemently opposed declassifying documents to aid U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the likely illegal origins of the Trump-Russia investigation.
This will all be a good start in clearing out the swamp – and we hope these terminations are only the beginning of a renewed effort to clean out the swamp.
