Fact-checkers are supposed to be “impartial.”
But they’re almost all radical leftists who want to censor conservative voices.
In fact, one Facebook “fact-checker” just went on Vladimir Putin’s Russia Today and said something shocking.
Social media came under well-deserved scrutiny in 2020.
Facebook, Twitter, Google, and even Communist China’s TikTok were all accused of censoring conservative voices, shutting down anyone who disagreed with them, and illegally influencing the 2020 elections.
Google has already been accused of changing their search algorithms so that alternative news sources or opinions were almost impossible to find – causing an explosion of Americans to switch to unbiased search engines like DuckDuckGo.
Google also instituted a political ad ban and refused to run internet ads from Republicans and conservatives.
Twitter put “warnings” on anything they disagreed with politically and shut down hundreds of conservative voices for “violations” – even President Trump was censored. Meanwhile, leftists were allowed to spew all sorts of filth, threats, and absolute falsehoods.
And then there’s Facebook – once actually considered the most free-speech friendly of all social media sites.
They created a so-called “independent” fact-checking board to decide what could be posted and what could not.
Of course, to no one’s surprise, this board of “fact-checkers” are just a bunch of left-wing radicals who delight in shutting down conservative and libertarian speech.
Take for example “independent certifier” Margot Susca.
She gets to determine who can become a member of Facebook’s censorship board.
Susca is a journalism professor at American University and has been a “certifier” for the International Fact-Checking Network (ICFN) that’s run by the far-left nonprofit journalism organization, Poynter Institute. Susca has personally certified 19 fact-checking applications, including from the obscure Communist Chinese-funded website, Lead Stories.
This ChiComm operation censors stories from all non-left leaning outlets while approving factual errors if it supports the Democrat/socialist narrative. Lead Stories is also partly bankrolled by ByteDance, the same Chinese mega-corporation that owns TikTok.
But even more telling is Susca’s affiliation with Vladimir Putin’s state-controlled news network, Russia Today, or ‘RT’.
In a recent interview with RT, Susca explained her inability to be objective about President Trump.
“It’s hard for me to be an objective observer of this presidential administration when for years now they have continuously tried to delegitimize and marginalize news reporters for doing their constitutionally protected job,” Susca said.
She also called White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany a liar and lauded Russia Today for the “great journalism being done” on their behalf.
To sum it up in Layman’s terms – one of the people Facebook picked to decide their “fact-checkers” pays lip-service to Russia and is a proponent of Communist China.
We here at Deep State Journal have been warning about Facebook and the Big Tech platforms for years. And this only furthers our distrust of these social media giants.
