The government run schools across the nation are getting more blatant in their hatred of family values.
And in that same vein, school administrators and teachers are becoming more brazen in their attempts to indoctrinate America’s youth.
Now one Minnesota school district asked 4th graders to do this and not talk to their parents about it.
Both student privacy and parental rights are being ignored by those in power across the nation.
Recently a school district in Arizona came under fire for asking for parents’ consent to ask their children about very private topics such as their parents’ income, gun ownership, and if any “illegal” activity takes place in their homes.
School officials say this was done merely as a way to check on the students “wellness,” but the backlash by parents was swift and fierce, and the district eventually scrapped the plan and backtracked on the idea (at least publicly).
Now a school in Minnesota is asking fourth graders to fill out so-called “equity surveys.”
But even worse, they’re telling kids to hide them from their parents.
Alpha News in Minnesota recently reported that Haylee Yasgar, a fourth-grade student in the Sartell-St. Stephen School District, told her mom she had to fill out a survey about “equity” for school.
Haylee said that even though she and many of her classmates didn’t understand the questions, they were told by school officials not to consult their parents on the matter.
“My teacher said that I could not skip any questions even when I didn’t understand them. One question asked us what gender we identify with. I was very confused along with a lot of other classmates,” Haylee said.
According to Haylee, she was very uncomfortable with the idea that she couldn’t talk to her mom about the survey.
“Being asked to hide this from my mom made me very uncomfortable, like I was doing something wrong,” the fourth grader said.
According to Alpha News, this so-called “survey” was part of an initiative by the school district with left-wing group Equity Alliance Minnesota.
Equity Alliance Minnesota was hired by the school district earlier this year to supposedly “audit racial inequalities” among students.
The organization is performing this “audit” for a mere $80,000 of taxpayer money.
Haylee and her mom, Kelsey Yasgar, decided to take the fight public and recently appeared on Fox News.
Kelsey Yasgar says that parents were informed about the “audit” but were given no details or information on when the “audit” was taking place.
As would most parents, Yasgar became irate when her daughter told her she wasn’t supposed to talk about it with her.
“We had been informed that this came down from the administration and Equity Alliance of Minnesota instructed them to make sure the children did not share this information with their parents, and that should pose a great concern in any parents’ eyes,” Yasgar said.
This supposed initiative has sparked outrage among parents who are arguing that the school district is putting politics over education.
Government schools have become a prime location for liberal indoctrination and socialist teaching.
The left knows our children are easily influenced by those they consider authority figures like teachers, and they are a captive audience for up to eight hours a day, nine months out of the year.
Parents are right to be outraged that these things are happening under the guise of “unity” and “equality.”
One can only hope that more children are brave like Haylee and understand that no teacher or school administrator should ever tell them to keep something from their parents.
This is just one more reason why it’s time all parents remove their children from government schools and join the growing number of families choosing to homeschool or send their children to private and Christian schools.
