The simmering war between Elon Musk and Joe Biden just went to an entirely new level.
Elon Musk continues to pushback against the left-wing agenda.
And Joe Biden was furious when Elon Musk did this one thing Biden couldn’t handle.
Say what you will about the mega-billionaire, but Elon Musk hasn’t been afraid to stand up for what he believes is right and good for his employees.
That’s why the war between Elon Musk and Joe Biden just went to an entirely new level. A level Biden and his supporters didn’t see coming.
The United Auto Workers (UAW) is one of the most powerful unions in the country, run by some of the most powerful and ruthless union bosses this nation has ever seen.
It’s not a stretch to say that if you want to build a car in the United States, you need to either bow to the UAW union bosses or somehow get past them.
To the shock of many, Elon Musk has kept his successful car company, Tesla, completely union-free, which – not surprisingly – infuriates the UAW.
And so in turn infuriates Joe Biden.
The UAW dropped millions in forced workers dues on the 2020 presidential race in support of Biden in order to get a mighty big payoff in Biden’s massive, socialist “human infrastructure” bill.
Joe Biden has been trying desperately to make the radical, leftist environmentalists happy by pushing electric cars, but that doesn’t entirely help the UAW – so a little-known provision was added to the bill to give the union exactly what they want.
In the “human infrastructure” bill, there’s a $4,500 tax credit for the purchase of an electric car –so long as it’s manufactured by a fully unionized workforce and no more than 50% of the company’s workforce are company shareholders.
This provision is a direct slap in the face to Tesla and Elon Musk.
Even if Musk chose to allow Tesla to unionize, buyers would still be prevented from receiving the tax credit because the company provides stock options to all its employees.
What an evil owner he must be to allow his employees to invest in his highly successful company and reap some of its profits!
So Elon Musk took to Twitter to express his displeasure.
Musk called Biden a UAW sock puppet and proceeded to tweet a story that’s got Biden’s head exploding.
The story is about a female UAW worker who wants to know why the heck she’s paying union dues when the UAW doesn’t even protect her from sexual harassment.
This is just the latest battle for Musk in running his company the way he sees fit without government interference.
Prior to this, Musk moved his business out of the liberal controlled state of California to the far more business-friendly and Right to Work state of Texas.
There’s no doubt Elon Musk is both incredibly successful and deeply cares about the well-being of his employees.
There’s also little doubt Joe Biden could care any less about the well-being of anyone and just wants to continue buying the unions’ support.
We side with freedom and the free market over coercion and union bosses every time.
Let’s hope Elon Musk stays firm and the weak-kneed GOP doesn’t cave on this bill like they did on the spending bill.
