It’s no wonder California has lost more people per capita than any other state.
The radical policies of Governor Gavin Newsom and the socialist Democrats are the worst in the nation.
But now they’ve gone nuts, and Governor Newsom is trying to use abortion as a bizarre way to gut the 2nd Amendment.
It seems every single time a politician anywhere in the country tries to “out-crazy” California’s socialist darling Gavin Newsom, he’s right there saying “hold my keg.”
The Golden State is literally falling apart. It turns out it wasn’t an earthquake that would destroy the state, it was leftist, socialist, ‘woke’ policies.
And no one has done more damage than the governor himself, Gavin Newsom.
Crime is so far off the charts some cities don’t even keep meaningful statistics anymore.
In San Francisco they don’t even pursue most crimes at all.
Drug abuse and overdoses are at epidemic levels and homelessness is at levels once only seen in third-world countries.
Fires burn year-round due in large part to the completely insane “green” policies that have left the state more vulnerable to nature and damage from the elements.
And inflation in California is worse than anywhere else in the U.S.
It is no wonder that for the last two years California witnessed the first two years of population decrease in the state’s history – which goes back to 1850!
And now this gem.
California Governor Gavin Newsom recently revealed a new bill which would allow private citizens to enforce state gun control laws by suing gun makers.
The governor tried to compare his bill to Texas’ fetal heartbeat abortion law, which allows citizens to hold abortion providers accountable.
At a press conference, a petulant Newsom taunted the Supreme Court, saying, “They opened up the door. They set the tone, tenor, the rules, and either we can be on the defense complaining about it or we can play by those rules. We are going to play by those rules.”
His new bill attempts to target the manufacturing, distribution, transportation, importation, and selling of so-called “assault weapons,” according to a statement by Democrat Senator Robert Hertzberg.
California citizens who use the law and file suit are subject to receive a minimum of $10,000 in damages per firearm.
Newsom claims the bill is modeled after Texas’ latest abortion bill, but pro-life advocates disagree completely.
Texas Right to Life’s Kimberlyn Schwartz told Fox News, “Despite Governor Gavin Newsom’s claim, the California bill is significantly different than the legal framework and enforcement mechanism of the life-saving Texas Heartbeat Act. This legislation adds a private cause of action for manufacturing or selling ‘assault rifles,’ or breaking other gun control laws, all of which are already criminal offenses in California.”
And California’s Assembly Republican leader, James Gallagher, told Fox News, “The real problem is California has adopted policies that let criminals continue to commit crimes and get let right out. Californians are tired of it, and he would love to distract them.”
In other words, Governor Newsom, in trying to be clever, couldn’t even get that part right.
No wonder California is in so much trouble.
