The FBI used to be a highly respected law enforcement agency.
It was known far and wide for its integrity and honor, not for getting embroiled in political corruption.
But Joe Biden’s DOJ just took a beating in a high-profile case and the FBI is all to blame.
The FBI has become nothing but a jack-booted political enforcement arm of the Democrat Party and the Obama/Biden regime.
The FBI’s tactics of lying, phony evidence, intimidation, and unconstitutional search and seizures have become well established at this point.
There are no longer calls to reform the FBI but to dismantle the agency altogether.
And now they’ve received another black eye in the “kidnapping” case of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
In a huge defeat for the Obama/Biden Department of Justice, a jury acquitted the two men accused of conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in the fall of 2020 and deadlocked on a verdict for two other defendants.
The verdicts were announced at the Gerald R. Ford Federal Building in Grand Rapids after more than four days of deliberations.
Jurors sat through 13 days of testimony and listened to government prosecutors try to make their case in a trial they said was one of their biggest domestic terrorism investigations ever.
And the trial would show that at least a dozen FBI informants and special agents working out of numerous field offices were deeply embedded in the so-called “plot” to kidnap the radical leftist, Governor Whitmer.
The defense angrily condemned the FBI’s sting operation and accused the government of crossing the line.
“When I look at what happened in this case, I am ashamed of the behavior of the leading law enforcement agency in the United States,” Joshua Blanchard, one of the defendant’s public defenders, said during his closing argument.
Christopher Gibbons, another public defender, called the government’s conduct “unacceptable in America. That’s not how it works. They don’t make terrorists so we can arrest them.”
Of course, the agency has been mired in scandal related to this case for months.
Richard Trask, the special agent in charge at the Detroit FBI field office, was fired last summer after he was arrested for assaulting his wife in a drunken rage following a swingers party.
Reporters also found anti-Trump posts on Trask’s Facebook page.
Two other FBI agents who handled one of the informants were removed from the government’s witness list over accusations of unethical conduct.
Stephen Robeson, a longtime FBI informant and convicted felon, was also fired for committing at least two other crimes while working with the Whitmer investigation.
All in all, this case ended up being a disaster for the Biden DOJ and showcased yet again just how compromised and corrupt the FBI is.
