The midterms aren’t even here yet.
But everyone is talking about the 2024 presidential race.
And Donald Trump was all smiles after this GOP Governor committed political suicide on Fox News.
Maybe no one is talking about this year’s midterms because everyone is convinced Republicans are going to ride a massive, red tidal wave into Congress.
Although they seem to be doing everything they can to turn that red wave into a blue tsunami.
Republicans keep voting to help Democrats pass billions in unconstitutional spending that will only further lead our nation into recession.
They have long allowed the LGBTQ radicals to abuse our children and are only now trying to save face.
And now the GOP is cutting deals with the left to strip away Second Amendment rights in order to appease the radical gun control lobby.
Once again, the “stupid party” is doing all it can to throw away victory.
And that goes double for potential Republican challengers to Donald Trump in 2024.
One of them being Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson whom many think can unite various factions within the GOP.
Unfortunately, they forget his numerous sellouts over the years on everything from Right to Work to abortion which has cost him a good chunk of his once cohesive base.
And now he’s attacked Donald Trump.
During an appearance on Fox News, Hutchinson was asked about the sham and unconstitutional hearings held last week by the “House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack.”
While Hutchinson did at least say the panel (which no surprise was hand-picked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) was “not the most bipartisan effort,” he also said the American people “want to hold the people who are responsible for the Jan. 6 attack accountable,” and then said that Trump is not blameless for the events of January 6th.
“You can make the case, and I would agree, that he is politically and morally responsible, for much of what has happened.”
Yup. The man who is considering challenging Trump for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024 just imploded right on national TV.
And lost any shot he might’ve had at rebuilding the base he’s sold out through the years.
Because even if Trump doesn’t run, Hutchison has so offended Trump’s base, he’ll have a tough time convincing them he’s a decent alternative.
Sometimes the best thing a politician can do is just shut up and smile. And Hutchison has a nice smile.
It’s a shame he won’t get to see it on a White House portrait.
