Democrats have been hell-bent to strip Americans of their Second Amendment rights for decades.
Now with control of the White House and both houses of Congress it’s possible they could get away with it, especially if they do it in secret.
And Joe Biden tried to put a target on every gun owner, but one man caught him in the act.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF) has never been a friend to the American gunowner, or the American citizen in general.
One former BATF agent told us that after Waco and Ruby Ridge, all of the agents who screwed up and contributed to the loss of life and outright disasters that occurred were promoted.
“That’s right,” he said, “at the ATF our motto is F up and move up.”
While that would be comical at some agencies maybe, for a federal law enforcement agency with the literal power to kill Americans, it is scary indeed.
That’s why we took notice when a Texas Republican started sounding the alarm that a new BATF rule is nothing more than a backdoor attempt at a federal gun registry.
We all know Joe Biden’s views on guns. He has never been quiet about his disdain for the Second Amendment and many on the Left can’t wait for him to act decisively and follow through on promises to strip law-abiding American citizens of their constitutional rights.
Of course, the tough part for Biden and the Democrat Party is that not everyone in the Democrat Party and even on the Left is fully on board with their gun-grabbing schemes.
And with a razor-thin majority in Congress they have to be careful how they push it all through.
Because even these days it’s not unusual to find a Democrat from rural America that doesn’t believe in taking people’s guns and Democrat strategists know that is an issue in some key battleground states and districts.
So as much as possible, the Biden administration is doing everything it can to infringe on Second Amendment rights quietly and secretly.
Texas Congressman Michael Cloud (R-27) recently sounded the alarm over a new Democrat BATF rule that he points out is nothing more than a backdoor attempt at a federal gun registry.
In a letter to the acting Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF) director, Cloud called out a recent rule change that aims to force manufacturers to keep manufacturing records beyond the current 20-year threshold.
The letter was signed by 51 other GOP lawmakers.
Cloud and the other Republicans warned that Biden and the Democrat Party would use this information to collect more data on law-abiding gun owners – this comes on the heels of the BATF collecting 54.7 million gun records in 2021 alone.
The move is giving many gun owners cause for concern.
“The Biden administration is yet again ignoring the real threats against America and instead using political leverage to encroach on the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens,” Cloud said in a statement.
Joe Biden and his radical leftist allies are using this move to create a federal gun registry, which would in turn strip away the rights of every law-abiding gun owning citizen in the United States.
The Left knows they can’t fully control the country if the citizens are lawfully armed, so it’s no wonder they’re working every possible loophole to take away your constitutional rights.
