A homeschooling boom is sweeping the nation as school systems across the country become more concerned with social engineering and less about education.
And with the homeschooling surge increasing, states have begun clamping down and passing anti-homeschooling laws.
That’s why Donald Trump is being urged to strongly defend homeschoolers under assault by government agencies.
Homeschooling is currently enjoying its biggest boom in decades as parents lose faith in the current public education system.
Current studies show that only a third of Americans believe that public education is headed in the right direction – meaning that a majority of Americans believe public education is headed down the toilet.
And, can you blame them?
With a rise in drugs, violence, and a noticeable decline in decent curriculum, sending your child to public school is becoming more and more unpopular.
It’s so unpopular that long gone are the days of families homeschooling for strictly religious reasons.
A recent survey by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) reported that only 16 percent of respondents said they started homeschooling to provide religious instruction, while a whopping 34 percent started homeschooling due to “concerns about the school environment” or “dissatisfaction with academic instruction.”
NCES also recently released information that showed the number of homeschooling families doubled between 1999 and 2016.
However, as the National Home Education Research Institute argues, it’s very likely the government is underestimating the actual number of homeschooling families since many states don’t track or register them.
Homeschooling families are flourishing despite opposition from teachers’ unions and the government’s bureaucratic attempts to regulate them.
It’s no secret that public schools serve to indoctrinate our children since administrators and teachers use classroom time to push their far-left ideology on these young, impressionable minds.
And it’s for these reasons that the ideas and beliefs around homeschooling have changed drastically in the last 30 years.
But as more families begin to homeschool their children, the more they are seeing attacks on innocent home educators.
For example, in California, homeschoolers recently won a hard-fought victory after more than a thousand of them traveled to Sacramento to protest a bill that sought to mandate fire inspections of their homes and would require the names and addresses of all homeschooling families in order to carry out the fire inspections.
Homeschooling is also under attack for incidents where heinous abuse was committed by parents who had removed their children from public schools under the guise of homeschooling.
In Connecticut, the government bullies are attempting to regulate homeschooling families after one parent was ultimately arrested for the death of her son.
But the mother, who was already the subject of concern by the local public school and CPS, never actually took her son out of school to “homeschool” him – she just never sent him to school.
It is abhorrent acts committed by evil people that school administrators are using to get more regulations passed on innocent homeschooling families.
These horrific incidents of child abuse and neglect are not indicative of the majority of homeschooling families. In fact, it’s very much the opposite.
So while the attacks are unfounded, and certainly unfair in their nature, it’s no wonder homeschooling families are under assault.
Their opponents know that homeschooling produces solid, intelligent, hardworking adults–and that just doesn’t fit in a government-indoctrinated society.
